A Bertram Chandler
in Japan

Chandler's novels were apparently very popular in Japan with a number of novels translated and published in Japanese. (In both official and bootleg versions).

In 1983 he won Japan's prestigious Seiun Sho Award , the premier Science Fiction award in Japan.

This link tells of a meeting with the Japanese Science Fiction writer Takachiho Haruka in 1978.
